Hi Mary!

Hope it's not too late. Just saw your e-mail about the baby bull. Congratulations! My suggestion for his name is Cheddar. Thought this would be appropriate with your interest in cheese making and my love of the stuff!
Hope to see you and Bill sometime in the fall. Len is recuperating from recent open heart surgery...triple bypass and a new aortic valve. Matter of fact , his new valve came from a cow! Haven't heard him mooing yet, but who knows about the future. Right now he is exhausted and somewhat depressed and I am a bit frazzled with the post-op care (and a few complications) that he requires. I'm dreaming about a late Sept. visit but I might be too optimistic. Hope you, Bill, Teddy, and the rest of your family are OK.
Thinking of you, Linda

Thanks Mary. We are still in Asheville, and leave tomorrow for Albany.
We will gladly take the Sumac room for the nights we will be with you.
We were prepared to share the cabin with your new calf. If it is a girl we thought Rosemary would be a good name, and if it's a boy then Basil.
Muchas Gracias,
Alan and Carol

Congratulations! We spontaneously came up with Jerome as a name for the baby bull. (No deeper meaning than that we like the name and think it would suit him well :-)

I love him! Congratulations. I thought they were Belted Galloways and so almost suggested Hamish as a good Scottish name. However on further reading I see he is Dutch. So, how about 'Theodoor" a good Dutch name meaning 'Gift of God'.

Hi,
Congrats on the birth of the baby bull! I would suggest the name "FERDINAND" after Munro Leaf's classic story.
